Flush wood doors are flat-surface doors, manufactured with a frame and core material, covered with a smooth wood veneer. Many modern or contemporary door styles are flush doors, with intricate or ornate veneer patterns and metal inlays. The direction of the wood grain can also be chosen. Mixed wood species options and a variety of kerf patterns are available (kerfs are a slot cut into the surface of the door).
