This eye-catching flush entry door is a great example of an entryway that is uncomplicated—but certainly not uninteresting!

At 8′ tall and 3-1/2′ wide, and with generous sidelites (each almost 3′ wide), this door (SQ-0000-F132) is made of horizontal grain rift-sawn select White Oak, finished in Sun Mountain’s Poudre River glaze, and customized with 14 horizontal kerfs. It’s also a pivot door.

Pivot doors are becoming a popular choice for entryways in modern homes. Unlike traditional swing doors that connect to the side of the door frame, pivot doors rotate on a spindle affixed to the top and bottom of the door, installed several inches from the door’s edge. The pivot system and hardware support much wider and heavier doors than traditional pin-and-barrel hinges—while creating the illusion that the door is floating within its frame.

This 1-lite pivot door (SQ-0001-F003) is an impressive 4′ wide and 6′ 8″ tall. It is made of knotty Walnut and finished in Clear Coat.
