Sun Mountain announced that it has opened a new boutique showroom in Denver, Colorado. Located at 582 South Broadway in the heart of the Denver Design District (next door to Window Works—and across the street from Ann Sacks), the new business is Sun Mountain’s seventh showroom nationwide, and third location in Colorado.
The showroom features the company’s exclusive custom wood doors, wide plank flooring, mouldings, and beams. Thirty custom doors are displayed (including ten active doors with jambs), in a variety of wood species and factory-applied finishes. For example, wood species include Alder, African Mahogany, Cherry, Hickory, Poplar, Sapele, Spanish Cedar, Wormy Maple, and more. Modern, Traditional, and Rustic door styles are shown, in a mix of both “stile and rail” and “flush” construction. Doors include square tops and a variety of arched tops, including True Arch (with 360 degree radius), Elliptical Arch, Cathedral Arch, and Tudor Arch. Many of the doors feature glass, with a selection of both clear and decorative/opaque glass styles.
A showpiece of the location is a modern 7-lite door made of select-grade Walnut and finished with Sun Mountain’s Roan Creek Glaze. The door (design SQ-0007-D069-W) is 4′ wide, 8′ tall, and 2-1/4″ thick, with matching sidelite, and operates on a pivot hinge mounted in a stone wall entry.
Four wide plank wood flooring styles act as a functional display for the main floor of the showroom. These include 6″- to 7″-wide planks in Walnut, White Oak, Sapele, and Hickory woods, each finished in one of Sun Mountain’s exclusive factory finishes. A variety of edge details and Sun Mountain’s hand-scraped distress options are also shown.“Shiplap” material manufactured by the company is shown on two walls of the showroom, including Reclaimed Barnwood (Weathered Face) and select White Ash woods, both with a factory-applied Clear Coat finish.A consultation area in the rear of the showroom features a large granite work table (with granite supplied by Legacy Counters, Inc., of Windsor, Colorado), and display boards featuring Sun Mountain’s standard wood finishes for both doors and flooring. A moulding display illustrates the most popular moulding profiles of the company, in styles ranging from Modern to Traditional. Wood beams are also illustrated in a selection of wood species, distressed wood, and factory finish options.Heather Bailey serves as Showroom Manager, and can be reached at 303-532-7799 or COshowroom@sunmountaindoor.com.
