Your front door doesn’t just serve as the entrance to your house. It is often the focal point of your home’s exterior, a main feature that serves to connect the interior and exterior style of your home.
The super modern door featured here is a Sun Mountain original (conceived and designed by Sun Mountain staff). Its unique 7-panel, 4-lite design (SQ-0704-D047) includes an asymmetrical, but balanced, mix of narrow vertical and diagonal rails. This door is built of select Alder—a clear wood that’s well-suited to a contemporary style—and it is finished in Sun Mountain’s Red Mountain glaze. It will become the main exterior feature of a home in Golden, Colorado.
This featured door design is also displayed (in an installed environment) at the Sun Mountain showroom at the San Francisco Design Center (in photo below). Accompanying the door is a beautiful matching 8-lite sidelite. The San Francisco door is made of select rift- and quarter-sawn Sapele, with a Clear Coat finish. The glass style is Reeded, and the handle is a polished chrome bar appliance pull by Emtek.
