HURRICANE RELIEF: OPENING THE DOOR FOR COMMUNITY EFFORTS

Over the past few weeks, our local communities in North Carolina and Florida have been devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton. It has been heartbreaking to see people and places that we love be so terribly affected by these storms. On the other hand, it has also been very inspiring to witness the perseverance of community members and their amazing efforts to help others however possible.

In that spirit, the Sun Mountain team wishes to offer our support to any affected local community members that need a hand. Please reach out to our Asheville or Naples showrooms and let us know if there is anything at all that we can do to help!

For those located elsewhere looking to pitch in, please consider donating to the NC Hurricane Relief Fund and the Florida Disaster Fund.

Some of the beautiful projects we have previously had the pleasure of working on in these regions:

1. Beach House

Doorway for a project in Florida crafted from Rift-Sawn White Oak and finished in Glacier Point Glaze. SQ-0101-D015

This entrance is hurricane-rated, meaning it is built to withstand the impacts of debris and immense winds during hurricanes (certified by the National Accreditation and Management Institute’s Quality Assurance Program, passing a rigorous testing process that meets the applicable structural standards specified by the Florida building code).

These doors also feature a transom and herringbone panels.

White Oak is an excellent choice for exterior doors due to its superior durability and shock resistance. It also works well with a variety of finish colors and styles.

Most of our exterior door designs are available to be ordered as hurricane-rated units.

2. Rustic Getaway

North Carolina project featuring a White Ash entryway finished in Glacier Point Glaze. Craftsman style with 6 lites and 2 vertical panels each, these doors are a great touch to this rustic home. SQ-0206-D011
