Flush Doors with Stunning Wood Grain

This gorgeous home, cozied up in the pine forests of Flagstaff, Arizona, features an interior full of beautiful and unique flush doors.

The colorful walnut grain patterns on these doors are achieved with a Quarter-Sawn cut. The grain style of the left door is commonly referred to as “sketch face” and creates a natural wood appearance. The eye-catching pattern on the right door is known as horizontal grain.

When working with naturally beautiful wood like walnut, there are many potential styles and looks available for your door’s wood grain beyond Sun Mountain’s standard “Knotty” and “Select” styles.

These walnut double doors feature horizontal grain on most of their surface with a vertical “stile” of sketch face style grain in their center. Flush doors allow for the freedom to utilize multiple grain patterns and even wood species across a single door. This creates the opportunity for countless unique combinations and styles.
