Sun Mountain recently produced this magnificent double door to grace the main entry of a luxury residence in the Bay Area near San Jose, California. The homeowner selected the design at Sun Mountain’s boutique showroom in the San Francisco Design Center, after reviewing door designs on the company’s website, (see design code CH-0010-D035). The door features 10-each “Vecchio” glass lites presented in a vertical orientation, divided in a unique pattern by small horizontal rails. Made of quarter-sawn Sapele (from the Mahogany family), and finished in Sun Mountain’s Honey stain, the double door is 6’4″ wide, stands 9’9″ tall, and is 2-1/4″ thick. The entire door weighs over 350 pounds, providing both a substantial and stunning welcome to the home.
