With the invention of the door came a new and beloved part of humanity – privacy. Locking and Protection. A strong door jamb provides a desirable sense of protection against burglary and theft. While one may believe the type of door or the quality of the locking system to be most essential, without a strong jamb, neither will matter. The reason for this is because a deadbolt locking system feeds from the door into the jamb. A weak door jamb makes a criminal’s job easier.
