Sun Mountain, Inc., a premier manufacturer of custom wood doors and wide plank flooring, recently announced that Ed Wright has been named General Manager. Mr. Wright will provide general leadership and oversight with senior leadership of all aspects of Sun Mountain’s operations, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance and accounting, and information technology.
Mr. Wright joined Sun Mountain in 2006 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than 26 years of executive management and hands-on experience in building products and branded consumer goods to Sun Mountain. In his role as CFO, Mr. Wright restructured the company’s financial reporting, established internal controls, and created detailed planning and forecasting systems. He also supported capital expenditures for capacity expansion and direct labor cost reductions, and participated in the acquisition of the company’s wood flooring product line.
“Ed Wright demonstrated great leadership through the economic downturn of 2008,” said Sun Mountain president John Walton. “He was instrumental in preserving the company’s financial stability during an incredibly challenging time that devastated the building trades across the country. I am excited to see the impact Ed will make in this new expanded role.”
