2014 Summit County Parade of Homes, Doors by Sun Mountain

Sun Mountain supplied doors and mouldings for nine of the fourteen homes featured in the prestigious Summit County Colorado Parade of Homes, held September 20-21 and 27-28, 2014. These homes were designed and constructed by some of the leading architects and custom builders in Colorado. Information about a few of these Parade homes and the beautiful Sun Mountain doors installed in them is as follows:

This 4,150 square foot contemporary design features over 20 3-panel craftsman-style interior doors, manufactured in poplar wood species and finished in Sun Mountain’s Espresso dark stain. Sun Mountain also supplied a matching 7’ 6” tall entry door, and all mouldings for the project.

Also built by Raptor Construction, this 4,450 square foot home offers two levels with 180-degree views of the peaks surrounding Keystone and Silverthorne, Colorado. Sun Mountain provided simple but welcoming 7’ and 7’ 6” tall, 2-panel top rail arch (or TRA) interior doors and all base and case mouldings for the home. Several of the doors were installed as pocket doors.

This was a remodeling project of a traditional mountain-style home near Keystone, Colorado. The home is just under 6,000 square feet, with 4 bedrooms and 5 baths, and an expansive kitchen/dining space. Sun Mountain supplied interior doors with a 2-panel TRA design, a 4-panel “chalk board” door with decorative hinges for the mud room, and a sliding barn door for the master closet. The doors are made of knotty alder wood, pre-finished in Sun Mountain’s Snake River Glaze.

This Breckenridge, Colorado home is an exquisite blend of both modern and mountain designs. The home sits on four acres, with terrific views of the surrounding mountains, and views of the fairways of the nearby golf course. Sun Mountain provided flush doors in “plain sliced” knotty alder, accented with three thin frosted glass lites to complement the modern feel of the home. Several of the interior doors were pocket doors, and a sliding barn door with horizontal kerfs (slots) was also provided.
